Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (STAG-TM)
The STAG-TM is a formal WHO advisory mechanism composed of independent experts who provide strategic, scientific and technical advice to WHO on traditional, complementary and integrative medicine.
Functions
As defined in the Terms of Reference, the Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on Traditional Medicine will:
- advise WHO on strategic direction for traditional medicine at global level;
- provide scientific advice to shape global research priorities;
- provide technical support to develop norms and standards;
- recommend approaches to integration of TM into health systems; and
- assist WHO in articulating policy options for Member States.
These functions directly support implementation of the Global traditional medicine strategy 2025–2034.
